I was very unsure about purchasing a wig from wiggins but i am so glad i did! I got the wig installed over 6 weeks ago & it is still as soft as when i first received it & the curl pattern is still very pretty! I work out often & there is no tangles in the back afterwards. Q If the hair is human why can't it bleach beyond a #27?

That's because natural human hair contains melanin and red pigments. When you bleach beyond a #27 (light blonde), the hair structure becomes too damaged to stay intact. To reach levels above #27 (like platinum or silver), the chemical process would destroy the cuticle and cortex, making the hair extremely brittle and unable to be used as a wig for long. Most high-quality wigs aren't pre-bleached beyond #27 to maintain the hair’s strength and natural texture.
